how long till you can give your car stick after having the headgasket done,
gonna get it done in the next couple of weeks hopefully and was
wondering long people think it needs to be worn in for???

straight away, they arent a 'run in' part. only the piston rings are.

ohh right ideal, i heard someone say you need to do about 3000 miles so the metal can stretch and retract before you can boot it

Thats all your changing, Gaskets.
If the oil and water have mixed then i'd give it another oil change after 200-300 miles.
Otherwise drive how you normally do.
