i've been done by one before and it clearly flashed, question is, do they always flash?
drove through one at about 38 yesterday, just pulled out of a petrol station, and they now have a camera on a 30 road that further along (about 10 bloody meters) is a 50 (used to be national speed limit) Forgot all about the camera and drove through it at about 38mph indicated, while realising it was a camera (fucking hate them kind of moments) Anyway, there was no flash. Anyone know for sure so I can put my mind at rest, if not i'll just have to wait.
Hoping that i wasn't much over 30 anyway, doubt my speedo is that accurate, and I have a smaller overall diameter of wheel and tyre than standard.

if it didnt flash dont worry, ive been flashed a few times goin through them facing towards me an never herd nothing from it

Front facing truvelo cameras do not flash you as it can dazzle the drive etc. Are you sure it was a truvelo?

I disagree, i've been flashed by one before, i have an sp30 to proove it. It flashed a purple colour and it was quite bright.
I'm assuming this ones a trevelo as it had a circular front lense. Thinking on a may not be though.

They do flash, but also work on infra-red I thought.
Bit like the average speed cameras. You can see when they are turned on as you can see the infrared beam shining at night

I'm not some crank that likes to make weird shit up on the internet mate, I've been flashed by a front facing camera before, it may not have been a conventional flash, i'm not up on the definition that accurately, but i've driven past a front facing camera 2 years ago on the 31st October on the way to an Haloween party, at over 30 miles an hour, resulting in a flash of some sort,, it was at night time, and for a split second my vision had a purple tint, type thing.

there is one outside my work and i can assure you they do flash all the bikes near us dont even slow down for it but they do work by you drivig towards them with you facing them un like all the normal cameras

I know some flash from experience though pal, I apprieciate you are trying to help, but by posting 2 posts contridicting what i've experiencced, doesn't really get me far, like i said, i've nothing to gain from lieing about it.

They flash a purpley redy colour, seen countless bikes go over them infront of me. They work over two inductive loops in the road.
