A mechanic at my work is building this Fiesta for Grass Tracking. Just thought it might interest some of you. It was a damaged 1998 R plate mk4 Fiesta, he got it for nothing, stripped everything, including engine, to a bare shell, then cut out all the rear floor etc. Made his own roll cage, and put a nice engine in the rear. Its a 2.8 Audi engine, with 2 turbo's off TD Cavaliers. It sounds awesome, all the windows will be out soon, then its getting painted Silver. Obviously its not mint, cause its made for racing round a track, but fuck me it shifts!!! Heres some pics for now. Front looks ace if you ask me.

Front, with Custom cut bumper with new Audi grille.

Interior, with 1 bucket seat and motorbike petrol tank.

Rear interior, with 2.8 Twin turbo engine and Roll cage.

And the rear, with the exhausts that will pop out of where the window is, when the window is removed. And the 2 hose's flopping about is where air filters attatch to.

It might only be a grasstracker, but some those exhausts look shit.

And why bother with the Audi grille?

Turbos won't last long either, petrol burns hotter than diesel and they'll just melt.

My dad does grass tracking. Its good fun, but getting very expensive. Where we race there's a twin bike engined mini thats had about 20k spent on it

This is his old car, rear wheel drive pug 205 with a 2.1 pinto engine with plenty of power. The engines now in his mk4 escort.

Where does your mate race? Car looks like it should be fun

They will when it has no windows, but as I said, the turbos will melt anyway, so the intercooler position probably isn't an issue
