i dont know about anyone else, i read a NEWspaper for the NEWS not to know what pete dohety and westlife are up to in there spare time.

He chose his career, he has to be responsible for his actions. Same as all rock starts. Most are/have been on drugs, but they do it behined the scenes, not right out in your face in the public eye, outside...

If thats right and he's been photographed jacking up a female fan, then thats disgusting.

He chose that public eye lifestyle, now be responsible for your actions.
From what your saying thoguh, you seem to read a lot of newspapers on the subject. It must mean you know everything about it, as the press wrote it? Gotta be true?

That's the point robin. Everyone has differing opinions. I personally am not listening to a word that you or Matt are typign about him because I just think he's a bellend. I don't expect you to agree but someone like him is never gonna have the whole world on his side.

Matt H says Doherty is Rock
Robin says Doherty is Indie

Who's correct?
If any I'd have to say Robin as Babyshambles and The Libertines are most certainly NOT rock!

But I'd say I was correct by saying that Doherty is wank

Why?
The Indie genre came about by small bands making their own unique style of music and not being "mainstream" hense indie (independant), where as rock music has been mainstream for decades (Led Zep, Pink Floyd etc etc)

Actaully, stuff like
Green Day
Smashing Pumpkins
Foo Fighters
Red Hot Chillie Peppers...

Was all considered Indie back in the mid 90's. I loved them all back then (still do now). Although we called it Grunge, it was actually indie.

But im a not a music buff, and most of the groups music has changed slightly, and i'd say its more rock now (above groups).

Unsure what it actually is classed as really. Its just music to me, if the beat feels good, happy days. If the beats pants, bad times....

Grunge and Indie were and still are different, completely different sound.

The Smashing Pumpkins DEFINITELY never have or will be Indie

If you called Grunge Indie when you were 15 years younger, you were wrong.

People refer to the scene as indie I find, even if it's rock music

Just to confuse you more some people say Libertines were punk
