I recently purchased my new car (Seat Ibiza Cupra):

After parting with my pride and joy of a crosa around 2 months ago, im begining to wish i hadnt

I loved my corsa (had it for 2+ years), but i havent got the feeling for my new car, the corsa was soo fun to drive, how it looked etc but the seat just doesnt fall into the same category!!

I dont know if im mad but i am considering purchasing another corsa and heading down the subtle route of modifying , need your help and opinions guys as to what you think i should do, or what else to buy?!?

Tbh it's like any car. If you get a good engine and rebuild it, and have it fitted properly, it shouldn't be much of a problem.

This is the reason I still own a 106 gti.

I could afford a whole range of new cars, but just nothing fits the bill. I know i'd miss the fun of driving it etc.

I'm considering buying a 2nd car every day use tho, like Audi A3 Tdi or something...

I dont think so mate, best get your facts straight before going around posting comments like that.

Not sure where that Simon bloke went. Vagowners is run by Paul (Cordysxman) and Rob (Rob_G60) and its one of the fastest growning online communities on the net. We have had club features and reviews in the last 2 issues of PVW.

Paul and Rob are well known in the community and are doing a amazing job so far!

sorry your right its not simon, its that trucido bloke who hacked seat enthusiasts

not quite sure while you think its the fastest growing club on the net its still very very small and doesn't seem to be growing as fast as the bigger ones, you just dont notice it so much

maybe iv got a chip on my shoulder as started one of the first if not the first vag 'owners' club, now they popping up everywhere

To be honest I know where your comming from.

After I sold my Corsa and went to the Astra I was pleased with the comfort and reliability and the fact I never had to fix it.

But I never loved it for the main reason the car lacked soul and character and didnt really excel at anything other than go fast in a stright line.

Now I got the Clio its really a real pleasure to drive and I have already done 1/3 of a millage I covered in a year of owning the Astra and at the end of the day people you have to admit its Horses for courses!

Cupra looks good but it may not tick all the boxes. The guy who owned my Clio before me told me how he owned a 172 Cup then had a fling with a Iniza Cupra R and after two weeks sold it as he said it was rubish. Mentioned it a shame to call it a hot hatch as its handling was on the verge of diabolical so he went back and bought a Clio 182.

I wouldn't go back to a Corsa personaly maybe try something else in the hot hatch range then if that again doesn't float your boast buy another Corsa

Just think try and own as many cool cars as you can when your young rather than spend money on modifying them.
