tbh, I think a 12v would be quicker if you kept it in the 3krpm + rev range.

I was under the impression that the driver of the zonda also drove the porsche and set the previous record.

no its still a production car the company make them to order, its also down as the new official record so who are we to argue, plus with the pagani costing so much i recon more of the csl's will be sold

The CSL is tech a production car but it was heavily heavily modified so a bit of a cheek really

The timer starts at the end of the start finish / straight...
yet STOPS at the start of it
Losing roughly 2-3 secs??? looks a bit supicious to me ... like they only beat it by a small margin if at all, and have made it look like they did ?
Also... the lap where he's going round? It doesn't look like he's pushing that hard to be honest... takes it fairly easy / brakes early for a lot of places.
If you watch the lap of the radical going around that guy is absolutely taking risks and shifting !

Although the Pagini isn't modified, comes out the factory like that which is my point  That CSL didn't come out the BMW factory like that!

I think 'modded' is the key word here, although I'd be suprised if the Zonda hadn't been fettled with a bit too.
Looking at the Zonda lap there are mistakes made, Marc Basseng fluffs a couple of gearchanges here and there, and I'm not sure about the timing either.
The car looks and sounds absolutely orgasmic though, if anybody has a spare half a million quid lying around I'd be much obliged.
