Cool colour

But it's cheap because its crap and nearly a year old. It's got a poverty spec and it's got a crappy 1.4 8v engine.

In fact one like that would cost you about £9k from Fiat.

well its got to be a small car, in which case petrol or diesel doesnt matter too much, but it needs to be able to do a decent motorway speed when we go on shopping trips at the weekend etc.

im v interested in the C 1.3cdti, anyone else got ideas of the sort of cars im looking at, and possibly prices? im not looking for brand new, although something with some free dealer servicing left would be nice

The C 1.3 would probably be a better drive than that Punto. The petrol Puntos are a bit crap as they use old engines, with exception to the new ones with the T Jets...

Definately, but they have just brought out some 1.4 petrol turbo engines for the range which could be fairly good...

I had one as a courtesy car and believe me they are horrific things. The build quality is shoddy and the interior plastics are from the 80s.

RANK!

im seriously looking into the 1.3cdti (75ps), am i correct in assuming its the same engine a that in the 1.3 astra cdti, just detuned from 90ps, that a remap could soon sort out? could be exciting lol

They have a different turbo on them, but i'm sure you could get the power up a fair bit on the 75...

would involve some serious money then for a different turbo, or would it im sure im correct in assuming tuning through mapping hits the fuel consumption? i.e. pushing lets say 25 more bhp is gonna use 10% more fuel maybe?
