hey guys finally had the cams setup on the car and mapped again on friday by Dave A at vsport it ran like crap below 3k and overfueling sooo much! didnt get any vids but heres the results...



the difference between the first run...



anywho thought id share with you all longer trumpets next me thinks

Is the massive dip in torque down to the cams?

What was the max torque figgures? Whats your engine spec?

yus the dip is down to the cams i dont know the max torque actually i think it was 125ish...

engine spec so far..
novatech throttle bodies
newman 288 cams plus verniers
head ported
protech manifold

165bhp is a really healthy figgure from a 1.6

What is it like on the road? Shame its hard to get more torque from these engines

i know quite healthy =) dave said plus other people if money was spent on the bottom end and raise the revs it will keep on going lol

its veryyy nice now pulls really hard in high revs love it

goode to hear that mate thats a big figure in my eyes for a 1.6 bet it goes like feck, i have 140 bhp an 137lbft torgue in mine an that goes well. bet ya shock some people

will make 175+ easily if you get some ARP rod bolts in there and have a higher rev limit. the cams seem to come in early as well, which is what causes the dip from lower down, we set the cams and map up that way to give more usable power lower down the revs. ill get a copy of the graphs from where it comes on cam for you.....
