Its a bit different with mine. I never knew/want to know my biological dad. He fucked off before i was born was just me and my mum for about 2 years before she met my "dad".
Ill always call him dad because hes the only one ive ever known but i had a closer relationship ship with my uncle. Did everything together, shared the same interests and the one i would really call my real dad as he looked after me alot when i was younger.
He died in 2005 Worst day ever

my mum and dad split before i was born,
mum had to get an order so he HAD to see me, which he rarely did, when i was 7 i told him i didnt want to see him anymore, think ive seen him about 3-4 times since then,
in that time he has been in prision and become a dirty heroin addict,
to me my dad is dead, all i have is my mum and thats good enough for me, atlease when i have my own kids i have a good idea or what a dad should be to someone

Parents split up when I was 4, didnt see my dad for 5 years for my mum is an evil shit stirring bitch. Mum was with an asshole boyfriend for 12 years, dad got remarried to a really nice woman, but the asshole boyfriend left 3 years ago, now my dad is getting divorced and getting back with my mum. "Strange" is an understatement

i miss my dad, he died suddenly in 2005, although we argued imo he was great! done everything for me, but i didnt relise this all untill he died, i know that we would be best of mates now and have loads in common because he was a mechanic, owned his own business and i would have been up there all the time helping him, and him teaching me! the worst bit for me is the way i remeber last, he had a sudden heart attack, mum was screaming i woke up, went in absolutely shat myself, i tried heart massage etc but he had gone, at first i thought he was still there cus i could hear funny beathing noises but it was me pushing in the air, when i looked at his eyes i knew he was dead cus they were glazed over, when paramedics came i got taken out of the room, last thing i saw of him that night was his feet hanging out of the doorway, worst night of my life, but i know he would be proud of me for what i done that night, that year was so fukin horrible, because we used to argue a bit my mum turned around to me before the funeral and said his death was my fault, i will never forgive her for saying that to me because it wasnt atall my fault, but we do get on now! its wierd what things can do to you tho cus until a few weeks ago i havn't dreamed since he died, only lately i have been dreaming, duno what thats about, anyone else had tht problem?
lol soz to go on, helps talking about it sometimes tho!!!

It sounds bad but i dont say "i love you" etc to them much (if at all) i wish i did but i cant for some reason, its my issue and dont know why i dont, i just dont say it as i never have been used to it will seem weird if i started to, hard to explain really, not sure if other people have experienced this
Obviously i love them to bits, but i never tell them that, i know i should!
Im the same, i dont think ive ever said "i love you" to my mum, and the last time i can remember hugging her was when i was about 4. Its weird because im closer to her more than anyone.

Me too, just feels wrong.
Shocking how many parents are divorced though, I swear not that many people at school or mates now have separated parents, but loads on here

I just got back from seeing my old man, told him about losing my job etc, I think he knew not to have a go had a decent chat for about 10 minutes talking about jobs n stuff. Told him to start phoning me once in a while
Feel a bit better about it tbh, never gonna win any awards for being close though

that's harsh, just remember the good times like he'd want you to mate. Your mum was just taking out her anger and hurt on you unfortunately.
I tried to resusitate my mate who died infront of me, I swore I could hear him breathing but it was just the air we were putting in coming back out slowly.
I didn't cry when my mate died until like a week later, was in shock. The dreaming thing is probably just you letting go.

Parents been together nearly 40 years. They're great 99% of the time, can be annoying sometimes though. That's normal though surely
