fantastic cars, I love tham and have owned a few. find a good solid one (getting harder to do) and dont cost loads to sort out suspension and brake wise, standard engine is good, even better with twin carbs and a good exhaust. or a 1.8/2.0 zetec conversion is easy and loads of fun.

my next project will involve a 2.0 duratec on tb's, best engine made in the last 10 years IMO

Thats exactly what im thinking, some good brakes, suspension and then fit some carbs and an exhaust.

What areas are worth looking at though dave? i know the boot floor is usually one for rot/rust
