After coming so close with buying an Elise earlier in the year; I ended up blowing my Elise/VX money on buying a house instead............

I'm after a standard(ish) car (for the next 12-18months while we renovate the house) which is relatively reliable, a bit of fun with a few toys and easy to fix on the drive if something goes wrong! After going out in a Calibra a few times over the past few weeks - I've decided I quite like them and they seem relatively cheap.

I've seen a 97 P reg, Arden blue with 60k mile, 2.0 16v and black leather interior for £1200 ono. All seems very tidy and I might go take a look at the weekend.

Any advice or common faults to look out for; where do they tend to rust?

Also is there anyone that could sort me a histroy check?

Thanking You

Watch out for rust in the rear arches, and there is a seem below the drivers door where they rust. we have a R reg one, could do with a few bits and bobs but its a cracking car

I assume the 97 2.0 16v would be Ecotec? Going off the Ecotec years of the Corsa B.

What sensor problems, are they expensive to sort out?

I had a X20XEV (2l Eco) Vectra and it was fine with sensors etc. Cracking engine in my opinion.
