hoping to get back in to Road Legal Quad biking soon

im same my corsa is in project/builds which i doing all the underside etc but im not fussed at what pace i do it at these days where as few years ago i would have it all done and dusted in few weeks.

when i brought my astra gsi back in january it had slightly kurbed wheels i thought i can sort that, ive only just got around to doing them now but if i go back 1-2 years they would have been done by middle of feb lol

i think its just combination of age etcd i recently brought a house and my money goes into plasma tv's now and kitchens and diy

When i got my first car i was all up for doing something really silly with it and going all out. Then it got crashed into, then broken into and what not.

Now i've got my new car i just can't really be bothered with modifying it, granted the exterior is pretty spot on, but i jus can't really be bothered with sorting the rest.

Think its to do with the cost of decent parts/the hassle of fitting cheap ones, as much as anything else.

Well it's just lack of motivation at the end of the day, i've had bits break, i've had bits stolen, had to have the bonnet and wing repainted. And i'm hesistant about spending the money again in case the car gets broken into like me old one.

get that feeling all the time but its nice when things go right. only built an engine 10months ago and its stripped down being rebuilt again. way to much money goes into it but somehow its worth it in the end. aslong as it dosnt controll your life and you buy/ do other things that you enjoy all is well. loads of people at work say ime stupid pissing about with vauxhalls all the time but the only thing they got to show for their efforts is a bank loan spent on beer. ide rather do something more construtive with my time

dunno whats changed my opinions, maybe age. i will still do the corsa but it might just take me a long time to get motivated. i think once i get the head back i might change my mind a bit.

anyone else get to the point where theyre just not bothered anymore?

I never use mine anymore, it just sits in the garage costing me a fortune to insure!! In the last few weeks Ive started to sort out all the little jobs that need doing to it, once theyre done I may use it bit more, so far its done 188miles this year 100 of them was on the track! Maybe being surrounded by cars all day everyday has killed it for me, or maybe it's a growing up thing? seeing as so many of you are of the same opinion!
