What cars could i look to get insured on? 19 in two week so after that, will be 19 with 2years NCB. Dont say 1.6 Sport, had one, dont want another.

Most, depending how much you are willing to spend.

Mk3 golf gti? Would be expensive to insure though.

alright Andy , Hows it going? you can insure pretty much anything within reason, I was paying £1550 on the Pulsar at 19 with 2 years no claims

I've done a hell of a lot of insurance quotes and for the level of performance you're getting then nothing much comes close to the 106 GTi... think the Starlet turbo was a similar amount too. Civic VTi, although being a 1.6 aswell seemed to come out to quite a bit more for me IIRC! Also I'd say anything with a 2 litre engine or bigger will be a league above in terms of insurance, for example, I could insure a Clio 172, or a Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo for under £2k, but they're both a good £700 - £800 more to insure than the 106.

But does it really warrant the extra money on insurance.... all personal preference though at the end of the day.
