Got a cone filter on my car just now, left the bottom half of the airbox in cause it sits nicely in it. The red wire is still plugged into the airbox. Should I unplug it and block it? Or should I remove the airbox and plug it?

just leave it, all it does is only the hot intake for the airbox when it's cold

its just a little vacuum hose, like ste says it operates the flap to control hot/cold intake.
i put a little screw in mine when i had an induction kit but i doubt it makes any difference tbh
