When polishing you don't want to go over 2000rpm. I was polishing my car this weekend at around 1700-1800rpm if that helps.

Also, make sure you have a squirty bottle of clean water to keep your polishing head and paint cool. You need to wet the head and wet the paint while you work because it does get hot, which after time is bad for the paint. Make sure everything is spotless too otherwise you'll eng up making swirls and holograms in the paint.

The valeter here mentioned the water thing. The bit i can't be bothered with is taping up all the trim and lamps etc..

on my green i used farcela G3 or 10 which ever one is the the fine one, used with a oscillating polisher

u have to use a polish by hand after using a compound.
