I know what i'd have my eye on.....

http://www.yamaha-motor-europe.com/products/motorcycles/supersport/yzf-r125.jsp

Purposly made to have a larger fairing/frame, and wider rear tyres. If i was getting a first bike and wanted a good reliable 125, this would be at the top of the list.

Brilliant little looking 125

i think honda kicked off the 4 stroke 125 'superbike look' with the cbr 125 but it looks like yamaha have taken it to the next stage.

Id love a ride on one and agreed it looks spot on

why not do your a1 licence an have a restricted 400/600. wouldnt cost that much more to insure really than a 125 an the you have got your buike licence for ever so wont have to take a cbt every 2 years. when i was lookin for a bike i was goin to have a 125 but a restricted cbr 400 was only £115 dearer on insurance an tha was a grey import

Like putting a GSI kit on a 1.0 corsa IMO, it's not an R1, so why try and be one.

If you're 17 get a restricted 400 like I did, cheaper and much faster

I loved my Prilla 125 and 250. As I had a full license before the new laws came in a was lucky to get a full power RS125. 32/33bhp and maybe a few more with the Arrow can. Removing a resistor int he CDI unit moved the powerband lower down the rev range and changed front/rear sprockets made it a hoot. Not as much fun as the 250
