or buy concrete ones where possible as they are cheaper

It's for making a pnumatic press frame, not a house... None of the steel people I deal with do these things, think it's more of a builders thing. Plus I would prefer second hand too as I don't want to pay a lot of money out for this experiment

local engineering shops will have the odd off-cut. Do you have any overhead crane manufacturers local to you as they will deffo have some. Builders merchants are a good bet also. failing that, drive up to manchester and i'll sort you something out.

You dont want a pressed catnic for a press your making, too flexable.

Go to a steel works they will sort you out, there is alot of companys near me that we deal with for steelwork and im sure they would have an offcut.

Isn't there a big double-arch advertising board thing next to the Esoo garage on the Aston Express Way Opposite Uni made out of I-section steel?

We usually go to a place called metal supermarket. Any type cut to size etc. Not much use for you , seen as how its in Glasgow
