This stupid advert I hear on the radio every morning. It's got some dude in a hotel choosing which pillow he wants for the night. The person whho came up with that idea should be sacked.

Its gotta be a waste of money as wel - theyve got to have at least 3 times the amount of pillows in store that they usually have.

it's pointless at a cheaper hotel but if your paying £150+ per room per pight you'd expect and increased level of service for the money your spending. My GF is general manager of a 45 bedroom with an average cost for 1 nights Dinner, B&B for two of £190; she's been looking at offering the service.
The Renaissance chain offers the service on pillows, quilts and throws and even has a option to purchase brand new ones to take home!

All high end hotels do it, they just don't use it as a marketing scheme, it's service that comes as standard. But this Holiday Inn thing just annoys me for some un-known reason.
