My turbo has gone boom on my Astra and a new one is £200.
Does anyone know any places other than AutoVaux and ebay for a Turbo.
I wouldn't like to get one from a scrappy unless i knew it was a low mileage one.
The turbo i have is a Garrett GT1549S. It's for a Y20DTH.
Cheers

can you not send it off for recon, and it to come back under warranty?

Do you know anywhere to send it off to?
AutoVaux take my old one on an exchange basis.

I think (hope) it's the oil seals, but knowing me it'll be melted or something like that.
I hope the new one runs at the same boost coz this one (used to) run at 18 PSI. It had a good kick to it.
