Im sure its been done? 1.8 SRI engine would prob be easier to do, not sure though.

"Search for all posts" (I presume the search buttons still broke?) for chaz SXi and find out for yourself why it's not a good idea to start fannying around with engines in Corsa C's.
It can be done, but it's not easy, and you'd be better off selling your C and putting the cash towards a 1.8C, or an astra with a 2.0 in it IMO  .
