At his old house, one of my friends used to have to park his RS out on the road.
The road was fairly dimly lit and his car had been broken into more than once and it had been stolen before also.
It had black seats so he used to leave a small section of thin board covered in 3'' nails (pointy side up) and painted matt black on the driver's seat.
Good lad.
Might wanna try this in future and set your courtessy light in the off position. 
Could even anthrax coat the tips of the nails.
Or you could be really adventurous and use old hypodermic needles from a sharps box from your local AIDS clinic.

lol @ svm, mate of my dads kept getting his airel snapped, so instead of pushing it down he glued razor blades to it..... never got bent again
