First off I'd try phoning Quinn and say you think its too expensive, what can they do about it. Could save the hassle of changing

Norwhich Union have been good to me. I'm paying the same on my 1.4tp as i was on my 1.2 8v.

Thats at 19 with 1 years NCB. Oh and also they undercut the next best quote by nearly 600 pound.

Quinn was best for me

[EDIT] As far as I know though, if you do things by the book, they dont allow mods.

they do allow mods mate i phoned them up before i done anything to my car and they said all mods are fine as long as they dont increase performance.all they do is ask you get a garage to fill in a form to say the mods are safe and have been fitted properly

HIC arn't an insurer; they're a broker - my insurance is through them with Highway insurance; Highway is one that Adrian Flux use to underwrite their policies iirc
