there is a set of coilovers on ebay 99p starting price and no reserve but it says on the advert will not sell if the auctions ends under £300.

can the seller legally do this?

no, if he want's £300 for them, he must use a reserve

he says no reserve then adds £300 reserve but still doesnt set a reserve price

it say's he will cancel before it get's to the end if it's not heigh enough, so not much you can do

Hes just trying to save money on listing costs, adds alot to start it at 300 / make a reserve. He could also have a mate to bid it up to 300 to secure it all for him, nothing you can do. But if you were to win, and he forgot to cancel or something, you would need to file a complaint to eBay after 30 odd days or something. Works out to be alot off hastle
