Well i got a quote off adrian flux for £3k a while ago, 19 years old. I live in NI though which is normally a bit dearer. Adrains probably ur best bet, as they were the omly ones would even give me a price. Also i had no ncb

Wait till your 19 will be the best bet i think. A few people on here including me have been insured at 19 on 2.0 corsas.

Same as VegasPhil's, £1200 fully comp with Adrian Flux. That was 19 with 2years NCB and all mods declared.

Do you really need a 2.0 at 18?
I know for a fact that would be too powerfull for me to upgrade to
What you driving now??
Maybee think about getting a 1.6?

tell you what. having a 2 litre at my age has actually slowed me down on average.

yeh i give it a good blatting on a straight, or when some pope-buggerer is up my arse in his beamer, but i do drive a lot more relaxed now.

before im my saxo 1.1 (lmao) and sxi i'd be raping it everywhere to get up to speed and keep it there lol.
Now round town i just drive normally, and i take better care of the redtop than i ever did my other cars.

Now i just have 'happy hour' in the car every other week where my foot is jammed on the accelerator in the dales

dan, thats how i think i'd act in something more powerful, atm in my 1.2 8v i'm bouncing off the redline just trying to get whatever i can out of each gear.

Drove a 2ltr fiesta st about 2 weeks ago and i felt no need to go for it, just gently and it felt calm...

tbh spankyjames, all these threads ever perpetuate is an argument that young drivers have no control over power and should only upgrade to a 1.6...
