Basically ive got 4k to get a new car with. Don't even mind getting finace to add another 2k or so to it.
Was looking at getting a golf but just cant afford the one i want really.
Then looked at getting an XE corsa b but my dad has gone off on one and said i will kill myself in it
What car is going to be good for me to get? I had the GSi before this and that was insurance group 11 and it cost £1500 for me to get insured so anything up to that is ok.
What are the corsa C SRi s like ? says group 9 insurance, look pretty decent.
Ill be 19 and have 1y ncb by next february so don't mind paying the little bit extra for insurance for another 6 months untill then.
So what would you go for at 18 with basically 4k - 6k to spend ?
Sorry for making another one of these threads, just usually you guys have a good idea what to go for.
Just need to get something as soon as possible really, im currently driving a 1.4 saxo vsx and it really depresses me. Car is basically my main point of interest so don't mind spending all of my money on it.
Cheers,
Alex

Im 18 and have had 3 Corsa's. I work at a car garage and get to drive all sorts of cars, and other day i drove a 2.2 DTI SRi Vectra. It had 153k on it, a 52 Plate, but i just really liked the way it drove. I hate to say it, but i think deisel is the way forward

vauxhalls - corsa gsi/nova gsi, valvers, the C SRi
106 rallye s2?
205 gti?
Saxo Vts?
dont really know what else. Try a mk3 astra sport - theyre nice

Anything is an option mate. I do like vauxhalls but i am open to any other car! As long as it looks nice and is fairly newish i don't mind.

Yeah definately want something close in speed wise too my GSi if not faster!
Couldn't get another saxo, i just couldn't bring myself to do it.
Do like the look of the 106's! Going to have a look around at a few of them now on the net.
Corsa C's are begining to look very nice. Especially the ones with bits of irmy stuff.

if i had that budget, main thing i would be looking at-
Bora 130 TDi's chipped and a few mods of course.
Or anything else that you can get the 130 diesel in, in the VAG range.

Just looked at the 106 gti, group 13 insurance rules that out i think. Found a nice yellow one too.
Also this car isn't going to be used for work because i get the bus everyday, its mainly going to be for after work hours (when im not to tired to go out) and weekends.
Its just basically going to be a bit of fun for me to use
