Need some advice, i sold an item on ebay recently (PDA), that had always worked fine. I then get a contact from the guy saying that he cant get the tomtom part to work which i never used so dont know if what he is saying is right or he has done something to screw it up and now it wont work. He has started a claim through paypal saying that he has contacted HP and they say it could be a hardware fault. Any idea what the outcome of this paypal investigation is likely to be, anyone had any dealings with paypal disputes?
cheers

Same sort of thing happened to me mate. i sold a PDA and the buyer didnt request or pay for insured postage.
Guess what...it didnt arrive through the post.
He opened a dispute and the money got taken off me. I had to foot the bill
Lesson....always charge for insured postage.

Paypal will simply give you a neg balance....i.e -£100 if thats what the PDA sold for. You then have to cancel the Direct Debit PayPal have on your bank...otherwise they'll jsut take it straight out of there.
If you do all this, PayPal will get a Debt Collection company on to you.
Trust me...i've had all this happen to me in the past.
