Some of you may remember my thread about half a year ago, I bought a laptop on eBay and it never arrived. I tried a number of different things to get my money back but had no luck. eBay told me I had to go to the bank, the bank told me I had to go to the police and the police told me I had to go to the bank.. Everyone just kept messing me around and I had enough. I've had lots going on since then but now I'm looking to get this cleared up once and for all, get my £720 back, and get that little fraudster taken care of.
I now know the address that she used to sign up on eBay. The phone number she used was fake but the address is a real one.. Does anyone live close to Camden Street in Hockley? I just need to somehow confirm that she lives there.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated. I just turned 18 and every penny I got for it was used to pay back my Grandad who lent me the money, so I'm proper skint now and £720 would be a great help to add to my savings for moving to Barcelona in January (which is currently very very low).

I'm in Hockley quite regularly, it's a mainly business area though (known as the Jewellery Quarter).
I'm not sure how I could help confirm that this woman you speak of lives there though?

Cant you just go back to the police and give them the details so they can investigate it properly. Even if the address is wrong or the seller doesnt live there then you will have caught them out and it can be taken further. INstead of getting people to go arround asking who such a body is might make them suspicious. They could either report your sefls to the poilce or do a runner. then you will have no chance!

Should get a picture and then email it to her, and then ask her again if shes going to cooperate now you have been to her house.
But like ed said Hockley isn't a very nice area at all.

Haha, I'm not going round if I'm going to get stabbed.
I have her name, address and bank account details so will be going to the police for a second time and demanding they make a case of it.
If that fails, the tenner is yours Ed.

I think BT let you use an online directory enquirys service on thier site and make 4 querys on it a day or something. Otherwise just phone 118500 and they'll give you the number providing they aren't ex directory or the have cosen not to be listed. Or you could go to your local library and look in the BT phone book of Birmingham for people matching the name
