Just got my GSi done after spendng £300+ on the engine and thought i would go out or a drive today. Firetruck came past with blues and twos on and went in the direction i was going. Then it stopped by a tree on a farm which seemed to be smoking a bit. A few embers falling but looked rather odd Well 3 miles down the road i cae to a junction and as i pulled up smoke was pouring from the bonnet The embers had got under it and set fire to the insulation on the bonnet (standard Vauxhall stuff). Fried the rocker cover (plastic one), vac hoses, brake servo hose, injector wiring is crispy and will need replacing, bonnet insulation, HT leads and hopefully not much more

Why not. Their tree on there land. If a roof tile fell and hit you or your car im sure you would claim. Its called public liability.

if it's in their property then why not.

it's just like someone mixing cement up on their driveway and flicking bits on cars passing by, can claim off them.

Thats how these sorta cases work. Mate of my brothers hit a deer, and she was told by the insurance company that she would have to find the owner of the deer if she wanted to avoid claiming on her own insurance.
