I also earn alot more than most 21 year olds, but the majority of under 21's dont have a solid life long job or properly solid career or anything such as a home to back finance up against.

If your living at home, your parents cop for it if you fail to make re payments and its their house at risk etc.

i would say a bank loan of up to around 3-4k is normally alright, as that amount of money can generally be easily found within most families or re-financed from elsewhere, should that need be required.

But again, this is only my opinion, i am not right nor wrong, just the way i see things

Rubbish, if you have a constant salary why shouldn't you have finance? I have 0% on my Corsa at the moment, I paid a big enough deposit that even if I did loose my job, the car will still cover the rest of the finance so not a problem.

No reason why you shouldn't be allowed it under 21 (I'm 19 BTW)

Then thats your personal choice to make. I was just saying, thats how ive lived and its never done me any harm and it makes you respect the values of money more IMHO.

parent's house wont be at risk, as the loan would be un-secured...

a secured loan would be on the house, but then only the home owner can apply for one of them

Personally, i'd never buy anything on finance. However, due to some bastard circumstances (Me being mugged) i had to take out a load of £2,750 to keep me going.

But in general, i if i cant afford it, i dont buy it.

If you can afford the repayments and can stomach the interest go for it.

Only live once
