Id take the wheels to a refurber, local guy by me repairs worse wheels than that.
Most people will tell you to replace them, but he fixes them anyway and does a tob job of it

it depends on the kerb, whats behind it, somtimes its soil so there is give, somtime its concrete so there isnt
also there is the fact of angle it hit it at, and weather braking had a impact to magnyfy the impact.
lots and lots of factors come into it.
end of the day speculation isnt gonna get anyone anywhere.
she damaged the car, its gonna be fixed,.

it took you 5 seconds in 1st gear to reach 10mph and 4 car lengths from stationary?
sorry but there's something you're not telling us...

for say sake,
i slid a mondeo into a kerb a few years ago to see what would happen at about 10 - 15 mph
"i didnt like the car "
and it bounced off.
i lost the back end of my first corsa at about 15mph on a greasy car park entrance, both drivers side wheels contacted the kerb and i bent the shit out of one of the wheels
funnyly enuff both were in the same car park
