Double or single headers?

Having an argument with someone about whats better.

I think doubles are good, and perform well.

My oppositiong says singles last longer, better value and give just as much effectiveness.

I use singles in mine, normally the other way round, the doubles for triple ect... will give longer life. I think.

you only get one spark whether there's 2,3,4,6,123,7623432 or 127381928 electrodes as it will only arc from one at a time.

ones with more electrodes should last longer though.

you either pay £5 for plugs or £90 for plugs as anything inbetween is no better than the cheap ones.

extensive tests at the wizards of nos proved that the best plugs are the cheap NGK's from halfords in the blue packets. and the better ones than those are getting in to expensive Denso's etc.

and Robin is correct, no matter how many electrodes you have, there will only ever be one spark. More elecrodes are added to make the plug electrodes last longer as the load is spread. Also you cannot gap mulit electrodes which is a problem on alot of performance cars

the vaux ones are generally 2 electrodes which can be a bit crap Fad, as said, the blue NGK's are definitely the best for the money, ive tride numerous sets and Trevor at Wizards swears by them
