NO "detailing" or even polish here. just a simple wash and wipe over

sbd wrapped manifold vs country roads =

heat wrap + mild steel = bad idea anyway. it just holds on to moisture and rusts the manifold away loads faster.
BTB and ashley exhausts both reccomend NOT heatwrapping them for road use. If you are concerned about underbonnet temps get it ceramic coated inside and out. costs about £150 (same as decent heatwrap) and means it wont ever rust and reduces heat loss from the manifold by around 85% and can increase gas speed by about 20%

you wont get no moisture lasting long on a manifold at the temperatures they run at dave, yes maybe if if sat for ages, but if you use it often not much to worry about

from the pics it looks very rusty already. Id prefer to go by what the experts (BTB and ashley) say to do. mines going off to be ceramic coated soon.

heat wrap needs to be removed soon anyways as the manifold has a vibration that i want to get sorted by welding the primarys together. i might invest in ceramic coating then but need to find someone who will do it first.
track action is on the cars atm. ive got myself 2x 15" steelies which will be wrapped in r888's once my debts gone
