when the air box is taken out of the car, if you cover the intake piping with you're hand the engine is suppose to cut out right????? and if it doesnt there is an air leak somewhere in the inlet system?? is this correct?

it should cut out cause there is no air gettin into the mixture - not 100% sure bout the leak but it should defo stop

1) why would you want to do this?
2) some of the air the engine gets isn't from airbox, approx 5% comes from the brake servo vacuum pipe

ah ok, its just 2 see if i had any air leaks in any hoses because i fitted a new cylinder head, dbilas tb's with the chiped ecu and exhaust mani. runs like poo atm, partly because its blowing like fook where the sai pipe is usually connected to the head. im gettin the hole welded tomorow so hopefuly it should run kinda well.
