Spent all yesterday removing and re-fitting a new fuel tank to my car, day started with a 70 mile round trip to pick a tank up from Car Transplants in Nantwich.
The tank was a bit rusty, nothing major but out of a 2000 Corsa B; got it home, wire brushed all the rust off. Hammerited it black, set about fitting it.
All went well considering the car's 14 years old and the tanks original only issue with re-fitting was the crap Vauxhall compression/hose clips which are impossible so ditched them for Jubilee clips.
Then put 5 litres of fuel in the tank this morning, everything seemed fine; all hoses were sealed - then it sprang a leak from the bottom of the tank; pissed all the fuel out over the drive. Tiny pinhole in the underside of the tank by one of the metal straps.
Does anyoen know the best place to get a brand new tank rather than messing about with salvaged ones?

Easier to get new tank tbh - its a 40min job to swap over now; plus don't fancy welding the tank up with fuel/vapour in it
