do some new astras have a "SPORT" button that supposedly firms up the suspension?
Driving behind an astra today through some roundabouts, not sure what astra it was they all look the same to me apart from the VXR, probably another i cant afford one so ill get an SXi or similar.
Anyway as i came up behind me he suddenly thought he was aryton senna and proceeded to increase his speed around the roundabouts?
I suspect he pressed the "SPORT" button and his car suddenly developped an exige chassis

I remember the day when you had to buy something with a "Gti" badge or a sports car if you wanted something to handle. Anything else was boat, now pretty much most modern cars handle fairly well out of the box, so cue base model shit boxes and even people carriers tearing around like they are doing a topgear track test.

Load of bollocks if you ask me. Steering doesn't feel any different, and the throttle pedal is just more sensitive and has less travel. It's surprising how many people (dealers included) seem to think it "stiffens up the chassis", yet don't give a thought as to how it actually does that when they didn't spend the extra £400 on the IDS dampers that alter with the loads put on them .
