How does a toilet with no flush work then? My uncle has one of those ones where you wave at the loo and the sensor picks it up and it flushes. Now that's a real race because as soon as you whip out your spam dagger you activate the sensor and have to start.

For example, my upstrairs toliet flushes for a lot longer peroid of time than my downstrairs one, so in theory it would be easier upstairs, get me?!

Start your wee upstairs, flush, hold it in and run to the downstairs loo and finish before upstairs has finished.
