How long before my 17th birthday can I get my provisional? Tried to do it just now, but the bloody thing wants me to get a moped provisional.

I got mine about 2/3 months IIRC. Dated for your birthday obviously.

Ahh bugger, still got just under 4 months to go

i got mine when i was 16 as it was for driving the tractor

i had alot of hassle trying to book my theory for the day of my birthday

i thought u could get it when ur 16 to use for scooters and small bikes. You can in NI anyway

i had mine at 15, for scooter at 16 an car at 17

I had my provisional just before I turned 16 as I passed my CBT and drove a ped from my 16th birthday.

There isnt a difference

You can get it at 16 and use it for a moped and when your 17 its still the same provisional you use

get a scooter 1 and you can still use it for a car when 17. i did

you can get it upto 90 days before your 16th birthday mate

i got mine when i was 15 so it was valid for when i got my scooter when i turned 16, was still valid for a car then when i turned 17 so surely you can apply now?

Ahhhhh right, I thought it was a separate provisional for both

Ill just wait for the forms then, get it sent off.
