The 1.5's are amazingly SOHC's. I have a mate who owns a 1995 EG LSi and that still flys.

1.6 comes in sohc and dohc vtec, 1.5s came in lsi vtec sohc

They also made a JDM 1.5 DOHC civic that has the same power as the Uk Spec 1.6 SOHC vtec

sohc is single over head cam, dohc is double or direct over head cam.
