Well after spending the whole day at Courtenay yesterday the drive home with stage two was definately interesting. I was so dissapointed when I first drove the Zafira at purchase, as it felt so sluggish. But now it feels like an absolute beast. There was good news and bad news from my visit to Courtenay which put a slight dampener on the day.

First the good news, engine seems strong and the torque achieved was very good. Bad news is, the turbo seems very tired at the top end. On the rolling road it was overboosting as it should and picking up good power lower down, but higher up was not holding the boost it should. They tried adjusting the actuator, and even removing the pipe but it still wouldn't hold the boost. The was a small amount of dark smoke coming from the exhaust as well so it definately does look like the turbo is on the way out. Not too bothered as I was planning to go to stage four in a few months anyway.

Anyway, the all important figures..

241bhp at 5100rpm

285lb/ft at 3100rpm

That torque gives you the proper 'back into the seat' that was not there before!! By looking at the way the graph was progressing and the torque, they reckoned it should of been close to the estimated 255bhp that CS2 should put out.

Yeah gonna go for the VXR turbo in a couple of months, as I've already paid for a remap, they will just charge dyno time and do the next remap for nothing. Might as well pay the extra 100 for the VXR injectors and jump straight to CS4!

Can't fault Courtenay, they really looked into the car and were very helpful.
