Thinking of getting an apprenticeship in a trade ( not sure what thinking about plumbing or sparky )
but before you start an apprenticeship do you need to have a basic knowledge on the skills or are you taught up from scratch?
Bit worried that if I went onto a plumbing apprenticeship id have to know a lot of things that I dont!
Also if anyone can reccommend a decent apprenticeship to get into that will be appreciated.

They'll teach you from scratch! I'm an ex-apprentice and didn't know anything about my job role or industry when I started... thats's what the training is for

I did an apprenticeship in Fabrication & Welding. It took me 3 1/2 years to complete and I finished off City & Guilds certified and gained an NVQ Level 2 in Engineering Manufacture. I also have EMTA qualifications for college work done during the course.
I had no previous experience.
Also, I no longer do this for a living or rely on these qualifications!
