AA man told my mate fuel pump. he thinks he plugged diagnostic in not really sure. just changed fuel pump for him and it still does it. would a fooked relay show the pump up as a fault?

no, relays fail when they get hot, as do coilpacks and coils. unlikely to be the fuel pump.

yes but would a dodgy relay look like a fuel pump fault if the AA man plugged diagnostic in ?

tbh you cant diagnose a fuel pump fault from a diagnostic machine, only by checking fuel pressure.

and most AA and RAC callout people are known as reject mechanics in the motor trade. they rely on a diagnostic machine to solve everything.

did he check the voltage from the coil or even check the relay? in my experience 8/10 times an engine that cuts out when hot and doesnt start till its cooled down is down to coil, coilpack or fuel pump relay.
