depends i guess if you want to run on a budget i would suggest the diesel because for like 20-30 quid you can get yourself a bleed valve and pipe and up the power to over 90bhp with shed loads of torque
if however your not worried about economy i would go for the sport although when it comes to upping power its gonna cost alot more

Nope. At the time i didn't know anything about upping the boost. However the car was slightly modded when i bought it. I can not say wether or not the last guy who owned the car had done it.
I raced a mate who had a 205 with a 306 DTurbo engine in it and kept up. So if anyone has one and keeps up with one then it was left alone.

Hmm im tempted now to maybe get one later this year. 1.2 is too sluggish for me. 1.5td could just be the right kick in the direction for some power. With the boost turned up reckon it would keep up with the 1.4 sport?

I never had a go at one of them. If the BHP is the same then the LB/FT will be a lot more but it delivers the power differently to a petrol engine.
It'd be a close one. I wouldn't like to say.

i think if you match the fuelling and boost they can run something like 99bhp with 130lbs of torque or roughly in that region. these might be the max figures though
