heya all, i got given an e tech strut brace and tried to fit it to my 1.2 8v 1994, but it didnt fit, when i went to put the suspension mount nuts back on, one of them double threaded!! what am i going to do? do i need a new cup at the top at the strut, can i replace sjut teh bolt, ?

get the it re-threaded, or buy a new topmount from a scrappers

how hard is it to change the top mounts over?

2 bolt's to shell, 1 bolt to remove it off suspension

youll need spring compressors too, highly important

fairly easy mate take the two 13mm nut off the top, take the to 18mm bolts and nut off, seperates the shock from the hub. set of spring compressors sumtimes u don't need them if the springs are lowered if the ain't then get them take the 18mm nut of at the top of the shock. that will allow everything to come of swap over and put it all back together simple

I just hammered the nuts off the top mount from a standard vaux one to my spax one as they snapped. Few big hits with a hammer being carefull not to cause damage and they will drop out. Its securing it in thats harder probably, blue tac or tape just to hold it in while you tighten the nut back up and it will be fine

im going to replace all four nuts when i fit some bump stops. makeing some nasty knocks a tell thee
