My Dads looking at BMW M3, the older style. Forget the model
I'm trying to sway him into Audi's but its not working.
Anyways, any other recomendations on what car, similar to M3's etc for about 8ish grand? Not fussed on speed, acceleration or whatnot. It just needs to be ultra reliable and comfy.
Plus, make it cool cos i'll be imsured on it so i can pimp in it

For 8k, it'll be an E36, possibly an Evo. If it's an Evo, it has 321bhp (if not, 286).
The 8k S4 has 265.
Both will be comfy, reliable and swift.
I'd have the BMW, but the Audi is good too, if it's blue.

If he wants ultra relieable and not fussed about speed then an old m3 is not a good option TBH

I would say an E36 M3 is pretty reliable, as far as 300bhp cars go.

The M3s have all done moon mileage by now for 8k so hardly ultra relieable with parts being pricey and inpsecction 2 service bank loan terroritry! Around 2k for a vanos on the evo models

The 3.0 is more reliable, Evo is just so dodgy with that Vanos. They don't handle brilliantly, as Gareth says most have been to the moon and back. I'd steer clear, Audi sounds much cooler.

For 8k your getting a mint E36 M3 3.0
Or your getting a pretty decent M3 Evo 3.2
If your looking at paying 8k for a M3 or M3 Evo convertable your looking at the lower end of the market....
VERY good cars though
