think i got caught yesterday doin around 35 in a 30, thing is what pisses me off the most is i never ever speed through that road and the one day i do i get fucking caught
i sat at 30, and then theres a hill going into a 60 so i dropped down for the hill and round the bend there they was, basterds
how long will it take to come through? ive heard different stories of getting around it? if it doesnt come through the post in 14 days not sure weather its bullshit?
just going to take it on the chin i think! how bad will my insurance premium go up when i re-insure my car? im 17 first year of driving.
anything similar happend to any of you?

You wouldnt get done if you went to court because the mobile lasers things arnt accurate to the exact speed so if its like 35 you could argue that you were doing 30 and that they got it wrong, but they might not even do it for 35.

Dont think you would get done for 35.
mine took about a week to come through.
my boss is a traffic cop and he doesnt bother unless theyre doin 10+ over the limit. he caught me speeding the other day, 82 in a 60, never bothered!!

your speedo will be 3mph out, thier lazer apparently is 3mph out, so if your speedo showed 35 you will be fine. dont accept the charge and ask for a copy of the calibration certificate ,they have to do it every day .

If they can't pin it to a driver, then they'll prosecute the owner of the car. If it was as simple as that, everyone would get out of fines like it. If you're going to speed, you should be prepared to take the consequences IMO.

Good one.
I've got 3 points for doing a 37 in a 30, actually. I just accepted it as I was caught breaking the law.
My insurance only went up £40 over the year, too.

This is an urban myth, As long as they send the NIP to the address of the registered keeper within 14 working days they have 6 months to prosecute. Try not to worry until it actually lands on the mat you might be ok.

They'll chase you up. My Conditional Offer of a Fixed Penalty got lost (genuinely), and they sent a couple of reminders to send it back (also lost, genuinely). In the end, they just rang me up to see why I hadn't sent it back. I don't know what they'd do after that, though.
