Mine were to do with First Direct being useless and getting my direct debits out on the wrong day, thus resulting in my getting £1000+ of charges over 3 years.

Having one charge could cause alot of others. especialy if you stuggle to pay it back in time and then pay your next direct debit!

Did they close your account with them after they sent you the cheque? I want my charges back, but for the sake of a hundred quid or so I don't want to loose my account as I'm happy with Natwest's service
I closed my account with RBS early last year...
They offered to pay it into my account in the letter before this so I had to ask for a cheque so RBS must not close your account. Some banks do though.

The onl ones I can remember were from when I went overdrawn accidently when I was 16 by about £3. They charged me for that, then because I went futher overdrawn because of that so they charged me again the next day, and so on... Was a bit annoying and cost me £70

Oh, I forgot to pay my Visa card the other month so they charged me £20
Though that's entirely my fault
