Derestricting the air box; do I remove the two pipes from the inside of the air box? I've got a k&n panel coming so I want to make the most of the gains, if there is any to be had at all. Also, I've got myself a new (well second hand £20 centre section) but I was looking at aftermarket systems; if I was to buy one, which would give the best overall gains? I was looking at an ashley one or will the standard one surfice with just a panel filter? Because I know some cars only benefit from an exhaust change in conjunction with other mods. The car is a 1.4 sport by the way. Thanks

But yes, do derestrict, remove both bits. Or just the top if you want the air filter to last a bit longer

ah well k&n panel so I can just wash it if it gets a bit mucky. Thanks for that. Will see what it's like restricted and then de-rezzed to see if there is any noticible gain.

I noticed nothing on my 12v except that on full throttle and passed 3krpm, it sounds a bit different
