Is it normal for the prjector headlights to make a noise while in operation?

Its only when the dipped beam and full beam are on!

Like a grinding/wearing type of noise. coming from what sounds like behind the glove box

you mean xenons (HID`)

the projectors are the actual light units


but yes my HID`s make the noise, Its the sound of the ballasts turning 12 volts into 24,000 volts
