I really like it but there are a lot of people who reckon he's ruined a perfectly good daft punk song Definate marmite tune.

this is a perfect example of a rapper ruining a classic track, Daft Punk should have shot him for even thinking about it, infact im suprised Daft Punk allowed him to go ahead with it
eitherway, i think musically it doesn't work - Kayne West's vocals clash with Edwin Birdsong's (Harder, Faster, Stronger samples Edwin Birdsong's "Cola Bottle Baby") and it doesn't seem to fit.

I like it. Was a thread not so long back with a fairly even split for loving and hating it.

you look like that nick hogan, hulk's son, there
i like the song, people just like to live in their own world and think anyone who re-designs a song to suit another style of music is shit as they aren't making an original song.
it's a good song and he's an excellent artist

what the feck are you jabbering on about?
"people just like to live in their own world and think anyone who re-designs a song to suit another style of music is shit " - it's called an opinion. I think it's shit, for the fact that he's ruined a classic track (which was original and sampled Edwin track perfectly) and musically it doesn't sound right (like i've said previously, but is applied to other tracks doing something similar). And no i don't think it's original - he has millions of dollars of studio time and top producers and engineers, and he nicks someone elses work and places his "poetry" (used in the loosest of terms) lyrics over the top. It certainly isn't difficult and nothing from the ordinary, and at worst, is something thats being done by a bunch of 16 year olds in a garden shed on a pc
p.s - i dont doubt his other tracks though and he's a great artist, i just think it's a bit "scrapping the barrel" when artists have to take other peoples work Or, if sampling is used atleast do something different with it, like daft punk did in the first place.

It is one of the better rip off's by an average rapper that has come out of the utter shite that is commercial Hip Hop or Pop Hop as I like to call it

Erm if they have any integrity yes, if they own the rights which they most prob do, then yes i honestly do think so. Its only when artists dont own the rights themselves that the covers would be a prob for the original artists
