ripped mine out a few months ago, mine developed silly faults after about 12 months most annoying thing was the proxy, could get a good setting for it, was either barley worked, or rain would set it off, dealer i used wasnt very helpfull either :-(
It did have black jax anti hijack that was very good basicly you had to enter a code everytime the door was opened or the car would shut down and imobolise, so even if a thief got your keys they would have problems

if there was a certain someone with a clifford (one with remote start etc) and they were breaking ther car, would i be able to scrounge anything off it to add to my arrow 5?

yes... get as much as you can, and try to keep the wires nice & long, with minimal cuts.
